Growing up I would cringe at the sight and smell of the adult version of cereal, oatmeal. I found it to be so gross, the texture and taste just wasn’t appealing to me. Fast forward a few years and now it is something that I enjoy indulging in. Depending on what I have in the cupboards, I dress it up with a dash of cinnamon, a drizzle of honey, a handful of nuts and fruit (fresh or dried), and a splash of vanilla almond milk. It’s comfort in a bowl, especially on a cool crisp morning.
