The changing of seasons was definitely underway with rainy days and cool crisp air. It was a shock to me since I have been living in Los Angeles for the last 6 years. Most of the time I forget what month it is and what kind of weather other people around the country are having since it’s the same sunny 70 degrees and clear blue skies everyday. Yeah it’s nice to be able to walk around knowing that it’s always nice, but I miss the changing of the seasons, especially summer to autumn. (I know what you’re thinking…these posts are much overdue, it’s winter and everyone has snow right now!) Better late then never, right?
The colors get me every time. I’m awestruck by how rich and vibrant they are and the range in which they vary. I’m use to the golds and browns being from Colorado, but the reds and burgundies were just incredible. Honestly, pictures don’t do it justice. Along our walks and hikes I’d collect maple leaves and acorns to take home as my souvenir.
This was our day walking around Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse and Two Lights State Park, and more pictures from Morse Mountain Hike.
